System Biology

Mathematical modelling are necessary tools for understanding biological systems in a quantitative way. The services offered by our laboratory includes simulations of gene regulatory networks by deterministic and stochastic approaches. When applied to natural systems, the main purpose of these simulations is to identify the basic principles underlying how gene networks operate. However, the same approaches can be used to optimize the design of artificial system in synthetic biology applications.
